This standard, named “technical requirements and test methods for mobile communication handset charger and interface”, refers to the universal serial bus (USB) type interface specification in terms of interface, and sets the unified connection interface on the charger side. The implementation of this standard will provide a more convenient environment for the public to use mobile phones, reduce consumption costs and reduce e-waste pollution, a relevant person in charge of the Ministry of information industry said.

As of October this year, China’s mobile phone users have reached nearly 450 million, with an average of one mobile phone per three people. With the increasing personalization of mobile phone design, the speed of mobile phone upgrading is also accelerating.
